PlusFourSix Closes Pan-European Deal With EMI

Stockholm, Sweden (PRWEB) September 03, 2011

Kiwi is Europes first premium cloud based music service that also offers music videos. The service will be commercially launched in Europe during the autumn together with partners such as operators, handset manufacturers and retailers. We are very happy to announce that we have closed a pan-European deal with EMI Music that also includes the great catalogue of music video content represented by the company, says Jan Nordlund, EVP Business Development at PlusFourSix.

The uptake of streaming services in Europe has well exceeded our expectations in the last six months, and we are happy to support the launch of new and innovative services such as Kiwi, says Stefan Blom, Chairman & President of EMI Music Nordic.

The commercial release of Kiwi will support playlist import functionality from services such as iTunes and Spotify, and besides the EMI Music deal PlusFourSix is currently finalizing deals with several other labels as well as European collecting societies.

By 2014 there will be at least 22 million consumers paying for a premium streaming service in Europe creating a yearly market value exceeding 2.6 billion. Kiwi enables our partners to grab a share of that market. says Niklas Stalberg, Chief Executive Officer of PlusFourSix.
